Angela Reynoso Batista, Chef Manager

Angela is excited to be the Chef Manager at Grace Church School.  She has been with Cater to You since 2009 and previously worked as the Chef Manager at Loyola School and as the Sous Chef at Saint David’s School.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Angela came to the United States 16 ago and has always worked in a capacity where she cared for others, so feeding students came naturally.  From the young age of 10, she was inspired to cook by her paternal grandmother, “a loving lady that was very passionate about her food and how things had to be done in the kitchen.”  She showed Angela all of her “tricks,” for which she is very grateful. Angela says she has a special touch for seasoning meats and a passion for baking. She loves to focus on highlighting the natural flavors and freshness of the foods that she prepares. “It is really satisfying to get compliments on the food we make and feel that what we are doing is appreciated. That makes my day really special,” she notes.

Angela’s favorite food is a juicy T-bone steak with thinly cut French fries and Dominican cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. She lives in the Bronx with her husband and three children.
